Hi,
During the past month we’ve been experimenting with ffmpeg, as of today all of our servers running cPanel and Centos3/4 or Red Hat are now compatible with FFmpeg and FFmpeg-PHP,
Note, FFmpeg is not the only requirement for YouTube Clone scripts as we’ve had customers ordering for the sole purpose to host YouTube Clone sites, FFmpeg is only one of the many requirements needed for YouTube Clone sites to work thus we’re not 100% Compatible with it.
ffmpeg-php is an extension for PHP that adds an easy to use, object-oriented API for accessing and retrieving information from video and audio files. It has methods for returning frames from movie files as images that can be manipulated using PHP’s image functions. This works well for automatically creating thumbnail images from movies. ffmpeg-php is also useful for reporting the duration and bitrate of audio files (mp3, wma…). ffmpeg-php can access many of the video formats supported by ffmpeg (mov, avi, mpg, wmv…)

Interesting pictures and info courtesy of engadget on Nokia’s new concept phone, seems very interesting and if things work out for this new brilliant idea, I’m sure everyone will want to get their hands on one of these
Nokia’s research and development team have kicked it up a gear with an attractive “aeon” concept phone showing up in the R&D section of the company’s website. The most prominent design feature of aeon is a touchscreen that stretches over the full surface area of the phone, similar to BenQ-Siemens’s Black box concept phone we saw recently. Currently mobile technology isn’t quite up to realizing this fantasy, but we’ll sleep better tonight knowing that at least one of the cellphone industry’s biggest names shares the same dream as we do — BenQ’s dream didn’t count, unfortunately.

Fraud has always been a problem for the hosting industry and that’s also true for most online businesses that accept credit cards, paypal and so on. Lately we’ve been receiving more and more fraud orders especially from Nigeria and Vietnam, since then we’ve put fraud detection system in our new billing system as well as manual scans of our orders daily.

The main reason for writing this rant is we’ve received couple incidents described below:
1) Fraud user signs up using Fake/Stolen Credit Card Number and Address
2) Order gets rejected by our system
3) Fraud user sends us emails and chats with us regarding their order. (Acts suprised)
4) Fraud user tries to get us to activate their order, they even give us their number to verify & call. (victim from the US usually)
5) Order rejected!
Below is some statistics of the fraudguardian system regarding fraud orders.
Fraud orders from the countries below (statistics, Guinea placing most fraud, pakistan being #10):
